About
Rating: 5 stars
The Biltmore Estate is Asheville’s most iconic attraction, offering history, art, gardens, dining, and sweeping Blue Ridge views across its 8,000-acre property. The grandeur of the Biltmore House and the vast grounds mean there is a significant amount of walking involved. To help plan your visit, Biltmore offers a dedicated Guest Services team, whose contact information is listed on the estate’s website. They can provide guidance, trip planning, and even details about discounts available for guests needing accessibility accommodations.
Accessibility is built into nearly every part of the estate. ADA-compliant parking is available at each location, and the Park and Ride lots include accessible spaces with shuttle service to and from the house. These shuttles are designed to accommodate mobility devices, providing a comfortable and reliable way to navigate the expansive property. Inside the house, the first and second floors are wheelchair accessible, with alternative viewing options available for other areas. Accessible restrooms, assistive listening devices, and wheelchairs are also available.
With its combination of world-class history, seasonal events, winery, gardens, and outdoor activities, the Biltmore Estate ensures that guests of all abilities can enjoy its beauty. Whether exploring the house, relaxing in Antler Hill Village, or taking in the grounds from a shuttle, the estate’s thoughtful accommodations make it one of Asheville’s most inclusive destinations.
